Services
Rug Cleaning
Our specialist hand cleaning service preserves the integrity of handmade wool and silk rugs while removing deep-seated dirt and stains. Using traditional techniques combined with modern equipment, we carefully dust, wash, and dry each piece to restore its original lustre. The process includes fringe setting and final mothproofing treatment to maintain quality for years to come.
Carpet Restoration
We offer comprehensive restoration for antique and modern handmade carpets, addressing structural damage and wear while maintaining historical authenticity. Our experts handle repairs to foundations, pile restoration, and colour stabilisation. This service includes conservation techniques for valuable pieces requiring preservation rather than full restoration.
Stain Removal
Our stain and colour run removal service targets accidental spills and water damage using specialist solutions that won't compromise fibres. The process involves careful pH balancing and colourfast testing to ensure safe removal of stubborn stains while maintaining the rug's original appearance and structural integrity.
Moth Proofing
We apply professional-grade mothproofing treatments that protect wool and silk fibres without affecting their appearance. The solution creates long-lasting protection against infestation while remaining safe for household environments. We also supply retail mothproofing sprays with detailed application instructions for ongoing maintenance.
Valuation Services
Our valuation service assesses antique and modern rugs for insurance purposes using market analysis and historical data. While basic valuations are free, detailed written reports require a fee. We consider factors including origin, materials, condition, and rarity to provide accurate market value assessments for collectors and private owners.
